I am an African woman who enjoy reading novels, listening to music, writting poetry is my addiction and I am a loving person.I am taking this journey to find myself.I realized that in order to find peace in my life, I got to let go and accept my imperfections. You might not know me with the naked eye but I believe my art will paint my image in your head perfectly well.I've met you before in the world only known by us.I've seen your smile and you are a friend, sister, brother, mother, father without limitations. With your love I conquer anything and build the strongest foundation and path that lead to eternal happiness. Wow… I am speechless. I think it is fine to go through stuff because we learn important lessons about ourselves when we are facing challenges. I am glad that you saw the greatness that lies inside you, you have treasured it and accepted all your shortcomings without putting a blame on someone. I think teenagehood is the most critical period in our lives as it can either make or break you. It depends to an individual whether he/she is prepared to fight the battle or surrender to the monster that lives inside our closest. I am grateful that you took your time and read my post. This really means a lot. Now I realised that I am not writting for myself only. Thank you cupcake
You remind me so much of myself with this post. I always wanted to have somebody in my life to fill this void I had inside me; I’m only 19 but it took most of my first teen years to realise that I was entitled to fun, love and care- the only problem with that is that I used to seek all that I had within me, outside from individuals who too, had their own battles to fight. It was only at the end of 2012 (my matric year) that I gained this wisdom and understanding that until I can love, embrace, give joy and enjoy my own company; I could never truly be happy with myself, my life or any of the relationships I form because happiness and love come from within and truth be told: YOU CANNOT GIVE WHAT YOU DON’T HAVE, NOR CAN YOU RECIEVE IT FOR YOU NEED TO KNOW IT FIRST AND FOREMOST.
